im back frm my holiday at USA. spent most of the 10days in California shuttling between various places, mostly by the sea. 2 days at Las Vegas Nevada, and even briefly crossed over to Arizona for well, a really short while. basically the trip was like S'pore fly to LAX, then from LAX fly to San frans. from San frans down to Yosemite n stayed in a town near there, called Bakersville. Then continue drive into Nevada with this mega big ultra discount mall at Primm, where a short lunch stop over lasted 3 hrs. then finally Las Vegas for 2 nites, to see 2 shows. Mama Mia for the 1st and Cirque de Soleil's KA on the 2nd. KA was damn bloody seriously cool shit. they had a giant rotating platform n no stage floor to speak of. hanging in the air and/or the platform n jumping into the 'abyss' was cool. n the starfish guy n caterpillar guy was quite realistic. anyway stayed the Excalibur there, sights being all the cool hotels, Paris, Bellagio and their friggin fountain show, recorded a video on the cam. And Luxor, Caeser's palace, the Mirage, the Venetian, wadeva the pirate theme one is called, NewYorkNewYork, Tropical bay. blah blah. Mandalay had this cool pool with artifical waves, which was cool giving the bloody hot temperatures outside during the day. oh my hotel had Krispy Kreme. yeay~ ok where was i. Las Vegas went to see Hoover Dam, a great engineering achievement apparently. even went in for the tour to go underground n see the huge generators. Across Hoover dam is the state of arizona, they had 2 bulding thingys there tat showed the time for both states, which makes me wonder why they should be different in the first place. yar so crossing Hoover Dam and back i was in the state of Arizone for a really short while. After LV, was the drive down to LA where we stayed 3nites. 1 day for driving down frm LV, which we managed to reach LA in time for lunch. 2nd day for shopping and sight seeing, there being mostly just Hollywood to see, in which i spent an hour stuck on the 101 freeway getting there n back. stepped all over Daniel Reicliffs handprints n stuff. 3rd day was the wedding. bloody traditional n interesting coz of it. International group too, chinese singaporean marrying a vietnamese staying in america. u see all sorts. n sunday fly back. thats the trip in a fairly large nutshell... i think pictures could speak a thousand words, so i'll try to upload the photos this time. not like my japan photos still lagging behind. lol
