heya its fri nite. late at nite... wad an interesting day. i watched Quidam, it was absolutely fantastic, but more about that later.
well i was on the train to sch today n i met one of my army frens, we live totally different lives. i was going to study, he was going to tuas to work. he makes like $5.50 an hr.... its kinda sad... and he's changed jobs like 3 times since he ORDed, which isn't really that bad lar, about 10months. but yar well... totally different lives, i wldn't even think of working at tat kinda of wages... so kids remember, studies are impt! the wage gap is there man... its not say u can't make it if u can't study, but u start out easier if u do.
anyway managed to get quite good seats for Quidam, student rush price of 104buxx. yes it was really kinda ex, but it was so worth it. the show was awesome. and i had this great view, lucky really, coz 2 kids were sitting in front of us, i mean real kids, u know those cute short things. yar so clear skies for us. haha...n we were just a bit off centre. it was great. the amazing thing abt Cirque de Soleil isn't the acts, we know its amazing but its not THAT amazing. but the show is superb, the acting, the choreography, the music, the atmosphere. simply fantastic... haha n the clowns rock man, the comedic act was really hilarious. they picked audience pple to screw around with, n somehow the audience screw arnd with a little bit too, n it just turns out so funny. n the pple are also kinda shy, so the effect is just funny, especially when they finally get the scenes right... the impromptu dynamics of this group is just so weird, and funny. think the clown is just great at it, to be able to organise it n cue n influence the pple to act in such a way.
well the day kinda ended on a sad note. coz we were talking abt the act where the chinese girls spin and throw the top on a string, holding 2 sticks. dunno wad its called. then i recalled back in RI i had this senior who knew how to do it. but then the sad truth hit me. that he's no longer around. gone in summer 2004, may his soul rest in peace....
